Since moving I’ve become concerned about my cat. She seems OK, but you can tell she is disturbed by the relocation. She lived in the other house for seven years. She grew up in it. (We got her as a kitten.)
Since being in the new house she has yet to venture from the basement to the upstairs on her owen. Either my son or myself actually brings her upstairs, but the minute she gets a chance she darts back downstairs. Today as I was getting ready for work I hear the hissing and meowing that only comes from when my two cats fight. (The move didn’t affect my other cat, he’s always upstairs unless he’s being fed.)
I look up and see Bella run out of my room and head back to the basement. I was shocked, because all this time she may have been trying to come upstairs and as usual Phoenix is being a bully. I guess she just wants to stay out of his way. It amazes as to why cats fight, especially when they used to get along.
Like people cats have their own personality. If you are a cat caregiver (I say this because you can not own a cat, they own you) then you know. If not, you don’t know what you’re missing.
If any of you have suggestions for fighting cats or comments, let me know.
