So how did you spend your weekend? I welcomed technology into my life that wasn’t there before.

OK, I upgraded my cable to digital as well as got a new phone. Let me say WOW, I’m now out of the dark ages.

I didn’t realize all I was missing. I can now watch On Demand television, which is very cool. I don’t plan on renting movies yet (I have Netflix), but there are lots of free ones to watch.

The best thing I got however was an iPhone. I’ve downloaded quite a few apps already. A few that will come in handy when my 8-year-old nephew is around and others that are for grownups. The thing I plan on doing next is taking a class to learn how to use it. The Apple Store offers free classes and although some things are easy to figure out I want to get the most out of my new phone.

So for all you that have an iPhone let me know what apps you like best. Let’s share what we think are the best ones and let me know of ones you don’t like.

Here I go again….apologizing for not blogging enough. Well between work and “after-work,” it’s been hectic. Last night was the first night I was home early enough and got to enjoy spending time with my son. Either he or I are always doing something and we hardly get to see each other.

This week started out no different. I had a meeting on Monday and Tuesday night I didn’t get home until early Wednesday. However, I can at least say that my shortened night of sleep this week was well worth it.

My co-worker, Jill Moon, and I attended opening night of Tracy Letts Pulitzer Prize winning play August:Osage County on Tuesday at the Fabulous Fox Theatre. Both Jill and I wrote stories previewing the event. I interviewed Estelle Parsons for flaire. who won an Academy Award in 1968 for best supporting actress in Bonnie and Clyde. Today most people would probably remember her from her decade-long role at Rosanne‘s mother.

I enjoyed the interview and once I saw the play..wow….really it’s a must see for anyone who likes theater. The best part for Jill and I was getting to attend the cast party. Yes, we got to go and “schmooze” with everyone, but sitting down at a table with Estelle and just talking with the Hollywood legend- priceless. She really is a remarkable woman and the rest of the cast really admires and respects her as do those behind the scenes.

I’ve been backstage before, both Jill and I have to meet the people we’ve interviewed, but it was truly enjoyable to see everyone in a different atmosphere and be able to carry on a conversation.

I don’t wan t to give away too many details, but tickets are still available and the production is in town until March 14. It really is a must see and you will not be disappointed.
