OK, I know I’ve slacked the past couple of days, but I will say on my behalf — I’ve been busy.
Let’s see I attended the YWCA Women of Distinction luncheon on Thursday, which I happened to be one of nine honorees. The other women included Amy Bourland, Helen Cresswell, Bonnie Fox, Betty Farley, Nancy Ryrie, Earleen Patterson, Cindy Roth and Angela Valdes.
I then went to the Riverbend Growth Association Duck Race and then to the premiere of Sex and the City 2. All that was on Thursday and let just me it was a “Fabtastic” day. Great day and great fashion
The best part about it is that I got change my outfit twice. Who wants to wear the same outfit all day, especially when you are attending multiple events? I wore a sunflower yellow dress to the luncheon and then switched to a zebra patterned tank and black skirt for the duck race and movie.
On Friday, I attended the Sex and the City 2 premiere party at the Chase Park Plaza in St. Louis, which was hosted by Alive magazine. I was super excited about this event because I got to get all dressed up. I wore a skirt I bought at JCPenney two years ago for $2.97 and a blouse I got on sale at Macy’s for $12.
On Saturday, I hit the yard sales with my mom, my niece and co-worker and friend, Jill Moon. The best part about the past few days is that I got to share those moments with Jill.
It was most definitely a girl’s weekend and as a Fab Femmes I enjoyed every minute of it.
This entire blog is right on target! Especially about the best part – sharing those moments together! I’m home and will be back to work at 1 p.m. Tuesday.
Yeah, we had such a great time too.
